Manager of Batesville location is recent East Central graduate

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The manager of Daisy’s Dog Care in Batesville is being credited for her quick actions while caring for a pet at the facility.
Zoey Eicher is a 2024 East Central grad who has served as the manager of the Batesville location since last summer.
Daisy’s Dog Care is a boarding service for pets that require overnight stays or extended care. They also have a facility in Greensburg.
Eicher was working last week when she noticed one of the dogs vomiting an unusual foam.
She immediately called Daisy’s Dog Care owner April Meyer and reported it.
Meyer called Tri-County Veterinary Clinic who diagnosed the dog with a flipped stomach. It’s a condition that kills nearly half of the dogs diagnosed with it.
“Thanks to the immediate response from our team and the excellent veterinary care he received, he made it through surgery and is now back to his normal, happy self,” Meyer said.
Not long after that, Meyer noticed a concerning lump on another dog.
That pet was diagnosed with a non-life threatening fatty tumor and the owners were able to get the needed care because of the diagnosis.
“Emergencies can happen, but you can trust that our experienced team is always paying close attention and acting quickly when it matters most,” Meyer said.
Meyer added that she is grateful for their partnerships with local veterinarians like the Tri-County Veterinary Clinic.
Eicher is passionate about animals and is continuing her studies in Animal Studies.
