(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital is investing in the future of healthcare through their Medical Assistant (MA) Apprenticeship Program.
The hands-on integrative career-building opportunity designed to help individuals launch and grow in the healthcare field, with no prior experience required.
This unique program combines paid, on-the-job training with immersive learning across multiple clinics, allowing participants to gain real-world experience, explore different specialties, and build broad clinical skills.
“We’re incredibly proud to offer this program and to see so many of its graduates still working and thriving at DCMH,” said Anne Swinney, Staff Development Coordinator. “It takes a tremendous amount of collaboration across departments, from clinical educators to practice managers to seasoned staff members, to deliver the quality experience this program is known for. It’s a true team effort, and the results speak for themselves.”
The MA Apprenticeship Program is ideal for those seeking a stable and meaningful career in healthcare. Whether you're fresh out of high school or looking for a career change, DCMH offers the support, training, and opportunity to help you succeed.
This program is just one of the many ways DCMH continues opening their doors, sharing their knowledge, and building relationships that help students grow while strengthening the long-term health of our community.
