DCMH provides free screenings to first responders

Made possible by donors as well as the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County

(GREENBURG, Ind.) – First responders received free health screenings from Decatur County Memorial Hospital this week.

It took place during the regularly scheduled monthly first responders’ meeting and was open to all emergency personnel across the county.

Attendees were offered a free A1c blood test to help assess their risk for diabetes, along with the opportunity to complete a health review designed to help determine whether additional preventive screenings may be recommended based on their individual health needs.

The free screenings were made possible by donors as well as the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County.

“Our first responders are always there when we need them—often putting their own health and well-being on the line for others,” said Kristol Hadler, Outpatient Services Director at DCMH. “This event is just one way we can give back by offering care, information, and support to those who give so much to our community.”
