Decatur Co. deputies worked 41 crashes on I-74 in two days

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Drivers on I-74 in Decatur County can certainly see what is left behind from the crashes and slide-offs that occurred due to slick road conditions.
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Department responded to a total of 41 accidents on I-74 from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning.
One deputy was assisting with a crash at the 140 mile marker when his cruiser was struck by a car on Sunday morning.
Fortunately, there were no injuries and the cruiser was still drivable.
Altogether, Decatur County deputies responded to 65 crashes in the county from Saturday until Monday morning.

We also spoke with TDS Heavy Towing & Recovery who responded to 42 wrecker calls, 10 heavy duty calls and 32 small vehicle calls in multiple counties from mid-day Saturday through 6 p.m. Monday.
