Decatur Co. residents can report storm damage here

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Do you live in Decatur County and experienced damage from the severe weather or flooding earlier this month?

Decatur County residents have been approved to receive Individual Assistance from FEMA.

“We are continuing to work through the process to determine what types of assistance may be available to those affected by this event,” said Decatur County EMA director Michael Snyder.

Those who are eligible are Decatur County residents, people who rent in Decatur County or people who have property in the county.

If you experienced damage, you are urged to document the impacts by completing the Decatur County Damage Information Form. Click here to access.

When completing the form:

  • Be as detailed and descriptive as possible about the damage you experienced.

  • Upload photographs of the damage if you have them.

  • Include all applicable information requested on the form.

  • Please report your damage even if you are unsure whether you will qualify for assistance.

  • If you are not a Decatur County resident or property owner, contact your local EMA Office to inquire about the process for your County (if your County was included in the Federal/State Declaration). The process will likely be different in other Counties.
