(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – New fitness equipment will be installed at the Decatur County Family YMCA next week.
The new equipment will be placed in the Wellness Center floor and is designed for usability and comfort for beginners to experienced users.
The YMCA says it will also create a safer, more inclusive and more effective workout environment.
Decatur Shelby County YMCA CEO Mackenzie Pickerrell says this is an example of their commitment to reinvesting back into the community.
“By upgrading our wellness equipment, we’re creating an environment that supports healthy lifestyles, removes barriers to access, and helps individuals and families build strength, confidence, and well-being,” Pickerrell said.
The Wellness Center will be temporarily be closed beginning Monday night for the installation process.
It is expected to be complete and reopened by Wednesday morning.
To celebrate the reopening of the Wellness Center, the YMCA will offer a No Join Fee membership special from Wednesday, January 28 through Saturday, January 31, providing $75 in savings for new members and inviting the community to experience the upgraded space.
