(GREENSBURG, Ind. ) – The Hospital Foundation of Decatur County’s annual Spring Gala raised more than $153,500 on Friday.
It was held at Highpoint Events in Greensburg and featured live auctions, silent auctions and bourbon raffles.
The money raised will go toward several critical priorities at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
“Our Board of Directors recently adopted an ambitious goal to grow our endowment fund to $2.5 million by 2030, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and high-quality care for generations to come,” said Hospital Foundation Director Mandy Jo Lohrum.
Throughout the evening, guests were encouraged to support the Community Impact Fund, which helps increase access to healthcare and preventive screenings. Donations from the event support initiatives like the Women’s Health Expo, Men’s Health Tailgate, and Healthy Fair.
These patient-centered programs promote early detection and prevention—key factors in effective diagnosis, treatment, and long-term health management—and are a testament to the strong partnership between the Hospital Foundation and DCMH.
“Events like this would not be possible without the commitment of our sponsors, partners, and volunteers. We are truly grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this evening,” said Mandy Lohrum.
