Decatur County marching band wins first place at Columbus invitational

(COLUMBUS, Ind.) – The Decatur County Greensburg Marching Band earned a trophy this weekend!

The high school program competed in the Sound and Spirit of Invitational which was held at Columbus North. 

It was a full day of rehearsals and warmups which all led up to the performance around  4 p.m. Saturday. 

Their performance led DCGMB to winning the First Place Trophy! 

It is a significant accomplishment as they beat out 17 other programs to earn the top spot. 

The marching band was also awarded for Best Percussion and Best Music. 

DCGMB is comprised of students from Greensburg High School, North Decatur High School and South Decatur High School.
