Gator found in Westport

(WESTPORT, Ind.) – Deputies in Decatur County encountered an unexpected suspect on Saturday.
They were called to Westport after someone reported an alligator sighting.
The police officers responded and ended up finding a 3-and-a-half foot gator that was taking a stroll through Westport.
Deputies contacted the Indiana DNR who transported the gator to a wildlife rehabilitator.
The Westport Street Department and Westport Water Department also helped to get the gator to the rehabilitation site.
