Deputies find meth after traffic pursuit in Jennings County

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Three men were arrested after police say they discovered meth during a traffic stop in Jennings County on Saturday.
The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department says a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle that had committed multiple traffic violations near U.S. Highway 50 West.
Police say it led to a brief pursuit before the vehicle pulled into a gas station.
Deputies deployed a K-9 who allegedly indicated the odor of narcotics, which led to a search.
Approximately 68.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with additional evidence consistent with narcotics dealing was found, police said.
Steven Fletcher, 43, and Gary Petro, 43 bothof North Vernon, and James Gilland, 46, of Seymour, were each arrested and charged with Dealing Methamphetamine among other charges.
