EC grad earns conference Athlete of the Week honors

(CEDARVILLE, OH.) – An East Central graduate has been named an Athlete of the Week for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. 

Sophie Browndyke is a senior defender for Cedarville University in Ohio. 

Last week, she helped her team secure back-to-back shutouts over the University of Findlay and Thomas More. 

Cedarville allowed just four shots on goal combined.  Browndyke also added an assist in the 2-0 win over Findlay.

This isn’t the first award for the East Central 2021 graduate. 

Browndyke was named Female Athlete of the Year during Cedarville University’s awards ceremony in April. Read about that here.
