EC grad leads college squad to major upset

(ALLENDALE, MI.) – An East Central graduate helped her team complete a massive upset during the NCAA Division II soccer tournament on Thursday night.
Sophie Browndyke and her Cedarville University teammates were tasked with playing the top-seeded and seven-time national champion Grand Valley State.
After a 2-2 tie through overtime, the game came down to shootouts.
Browndyke hit the game-winner to lead her Cedarville squad over Grand Valley State.
Cedarville will now face Maryville on Saturday.
