Family performs 37 good deeds in honor of loved ones birthday

(SUNMAN, Ind.) – A Sunman family found a way to honor a loved one in a unique way this weekend.
36-year-old Nathan Williamson unexpectedly passed away in July and left behind two children, his parents and many other family members and friends.
Williamson would have turned 37 on Saturday and his mother, Jacqueline Kay Lubbers, came up with an idea to honor him while helping others.
The family did 37 good deeds in Lawrenceburg and Aurora to celebrate his birthday.
“All to honor a guy who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, even if it was the only one he had,” said his sister, Cheyenne Bowsman.
Here are the deeds they performed this weekend:
Flowers to strangers
Cookies to the fire department
Tennis balls for the dogs at the dog park
Filled machines at the laundry mat with quarters and left detergent and softener
Filled the Blessing Box with food and hygiene items
Gave out small gifts to people at gas stations, in parking lots, in a drive thru, and to healthcare workers
Took donations to the animal shelter
Went to the park to write encouraging messages in chalk and give toys to kids
Dropped games, puzzles, and candy off at a nursing home, and more.
“Happy birthday big brother. I'd rather us be celebrating with you, but we will continue to honor you,” Cheyenne said.
The family hopes their good deeds also raises awareness of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
“Always remember; you matter, you are enough, keep fighting, keep your head up, and keep living,” they said.
