(WAYNESVILLE, OH.) – A bull rider died after an accident during a rodeo in Warren County on Saturday night.

35-year-old Jason Blake Saylor was stepped on by a bull and suffered a traumatic chest injury at Fox Hollow Rodeo in Waynesville, police said.

Authorities added that he was wearing chest protection when the accident occurred.

Saylor has family that lives in Aurora and they said rodeo was certainly a big passion of his.

"We watched some of his rodeos years ago and it was something he loved to do. He was the life of the party, he had a soft heart and could make friends with anyone.  He was a big family man and also has a 14-year-old son,” the family said.

The family said he always said a prayer before every rodeo.

Police are investigating the accident and ask anyone with video of it to contact them at  513-695-2525.
