Fatal fire in Bartholomew County under investigation

(TAYLORSVILLE, Ind.) – A fatal fire in Bartholomew County is under investigation. 

The fire occurred on Monday afternoon in the 1800 block of County Road West 650 North in Taylorsville. 

Firefighters located 54-year-old Mark Streeval inside the home. Despite life-saving efforts he passed away at the hospital. 

The fire is under investigation by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security and the Bartholomew County Fire Inspector.

Seven different fire departments responded to the blaze.
