(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A local firefighter has been nominated and earned the recognition of FCN First Responder!
Luke Ison began his fire service career with the Metamora Volunteer Fire Department and most recently completed his one-year probationary period with Batesville Fire & Rescue.
Ison has also volunteered with the Brookville Fire Department for the past five years.
In addition to firefighting, Luke is currently enrolled in EMT training to further expand his ability to assist those in need.
"His willingness to learn and grow in this demanding field is a testament to his character and devotion to public safety," the person who nominated him said.
“Luke Ison is a quiet professional who has made a big impact in our area. There is rarely an incident in Franklin County where Luke is not involved in some way," the nominator added.
Thank you, Luke, for your service to the communities you serve and for being there when every second matters most.
