First graders bring Christmas joy to Greensburg nursing homes

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Greensburg Elementary first graders are bringing holiday cheer to nursing home residents.

The students have performed Christmas songs at Hickory Creek of Greensburg as well as Arbor Grove Village. 

“All the residents are so happy to see them and it is so neat to see these 7 and 8 year-olds pour all their Christmas cheer out to them,” Greensburg Elementary music teacher Karen Matthews said. 

The school also hosted “Christmas Around The World” this week which provided second graders an opportunity to see how kids celebrate the holiday in other countries.
