His passion for the fire service comes natural

(OSGOOD, Ind.) – First responders in Southeast Indiana respond to emergencies no matter what is going on in their own lives.
They show up to help during someone else’s worst day, and they ask for nothing in return and zero recognition.
We’ve partnered with FCN Bank to spotlight the police officers, firefighters, EMT’s, paramedics, dispatchers, and others who respond when every second counts.
Today, we celebrate Osgood Fire Chief Kyle Negangard who received numerous nominations for this recognition.
Kyle’s passion for helping others through the fire service comes natural.
His father, Shawn, was a member of the department for more than 40 years.
“Chief Negangard puts in countless hours for OVFD that sometimes go unnoticed. Osgood should be extremely proud and is lucky to have him in charge of our department,” one firefighter said.
Another person who nominated him said that he is always willing to advocate for his department and community.
"He does this out of pure love for the community and the fire department. Chief Negangard should be recognized for his service and dedication," another member said.
One thing we know for sure is that Kyle is not asking to be in the spotlight, but is more than deserving.
Kyle also has a passion for teaching others and developing the proper firefighting skills in others.
