We first met Landon when he presented as a fourth grader. Watch here:
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A South Ripley eighth grader and his family continued their annual student presentation on Wednesday.
Landon Jolly was born with a rare leg disorder known as Tibial hemimelia and one of his legs was amputated as an infant.
Despite missing a leg, it hasn’t slowed him down as Landon is involved in numerous sports and activities.
He recently wrapped up his eighth grade basketball season and is also part of the junior high golf team.
Landon and his parents, Kyle and Kimberly, give a presentation every year to South Ripley eighth graders in Holly Swinney’s class.
They have given this presentation for the past 13 years and it's an opportunity to educate students about Landon’s unique journey.
On Wednesday, Landon and his parents gave the presentation but it was different than in the past. This time he presented to his very own classmates!
They discussed his journey with prosthetics and they also shared how prosthetics have advanced in the last few years.
“The family’s main message to the students was to have a positive attitude in all that they do, even if it’s hard,” said Swinney.
Here are some photos of the presentation on Wednesday:
