Thought his baseball career was over

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Recent Greensburg graduate Cy Miller thought his baseball career had already came to an end.
That is what he has thought all summer, including when he woke up this morning.
Miller admits that he missed baseball but felt blessed that his career ended with a successful season as the Pirates advanced to Semi-State.
Cy got off work today and received a phone call from Greensburg head coach Alex Meyer.
“Alex said that he had talked with the athletic director at IU Columbus and they had had an interest in me playing,” Cy recalled.
Miller was already planning on going to IU Columbus but was expecting to commute and not play sports.
Everything changed when he received a call from the IU Columbus baseball coaches.
“They said they’ve heard a lot of good things about me and asked if I’d be interested in playing,” he said.
Cy said yes, and the coach responded by saying, “Great we’ll add you to the roster!”
Miller, who is the grandson of former MLB pitcher Dyar Miller, calls it an unexpected blessing but is now looking forward to playing for the Crimson Pride.
