Former South Decatur principal headed to Waldron

(WALDRON, Ind.) – A local longtime school administrator has been named the new principal at Waldron Junior-Senior High School.
Jim Jameson has previously served as South Decatur’s principal for 13 years where he developed a reputation as a leader committed to academic excellence, student engagement, and positive school culture.
Jameson most recently served as superintendent of Rush County Schools from 2022 to 2026.
He has nearly 30 years of educational experience that also includes being an athletic director, assistant principal and teacher.
“Throughout his career, he has remained committed to creating schools where every student is challenged academically, supported personally, and prepared for success beyond graduation,” Shelby Eastern Schools said in a press release.
