Fort Vallonia Days takes place October 18,19

(VALLONIA, Ind.) – The annual Fort Vallonia Days will take place on October 18 and 19.
The event offers a large variety of activities and serves as a fundraiser to maintain the upkeep at the Fort, grounds and museum.
Vallonia was settled by the French in the late 1700's and there were issues between the native Indians and French settlers.
“At that time General William Henry Harrison, then Governor of Indiana, ordered a fort built to protect the 90 families in the area,” organizers said.
