Free training for rural continuity of government operations

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The Ripley County Emergency Management (EMA) is planning a free course for community leaders who have roles in continuity of government operations planning.
The EMA is partnering with the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium to host the 8-hour management level planning course that is designed for public officials, community leaders, and private-sector representatives in rural communities.
The overarching goal of the course is to show rural communities how to develop continuity plans that will help ensure essential governmental services remain functional across a spectrum of emergencies.
It is open to people of various backgrounds including civic groups, faith-based groups, public officials, private sector, transportation, law enforcement and more.
This course is specifically tailored for rural communities, ensuring that you and your team are prepared for any situation.
It will be held virtually on Zoom from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on December 17 and 18.
