(FRIENDSHIP, Ind.) – Friendship firefighters extinguished a grass fire on Saturday.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 6000 block of State Road 62.
Firefighters say more than an acre was burning when they arrived and they used about 300 gallons of water to extinguish it.
“The fire appeared to start from a burn barrel and a hot ember blowing out,” Friendship Fire Chief Keith Sieverding said.
Nobody was hurt and Friendship was assisted by Aurora EMS.
