Fundraiser continues for Napoleon couple who lost home in fire

(NAPOLEON, Ind.) – A fundraiser continues for a Ripley County couple who were both rescued during a house fire on March 13.

Tim and Janet Foster were unable to escape their Napoleon home after a space heater started the fire.

Both could have died if it wasn’t for their son-in-law Danny Horn who lives directly across the street.

Horn raced over to the house to pull out Janet before going to look for Tim.

“I lost my breath and was ready to give up. I was leaning against a recliner when all of a sudden Danny came,” Tim recalled.

Horn bearhugged Tim and was able to drag him out of the house.

The house was deemed a total loss and Tim and Janet have lost all their possessions.

A family member has started a benefit account called the ‘Tim and Janet Foster Benefit Account’ which is available at any Civista Bank branch.
