(CANAAN, Ind.) – A fundraiser is underway after a boy was killed during storms in Jefferson County this week.
9-year-old Brayden Miller was killed when a large tree fell on his family’s mobile home on Main Street in Canaan on Wednesday.
The family is not only dealing with the loss of a child but also are displaced due to the damage.
“Being left with a tremendous amount of heartbreak and devastation, a funeral that no parent should have to plan and only the clothes on their back,” said a family relation.
A Go Fund Me account has been launched to help ease the financial burden the family is now facing.
“To help cover funeral costs, hotel, food, clothing, toiletries, and a new home,” the organizer said.
