The family had moved 2 hours away to live at the cabin

(WESTPORT, Ind.) – Friends and family are rallying behind a Westport couple who lost their log cabin in a fire over the weekend.
Living in a cabin was always a dream for Bryan and Sharyl Cook.
Once they found this property, they moved two hours south to Westport to permanently live here about a decade ago.
Inside the cabin, memories were being made during family holidays and get-togethers. There was also a lifetime of Bryan’s hunting accomplishments on display.

It all changed early Sunday morning when it caught fire. Luckily, Bryan and Sharyl were woken by smoke detectors and were able to exit the cabin, however it has been deemed a total loss.
“Starting over, and rebuilding will be a very long process. Any help is appreciated to get them through this difficult time,” their daughter Bryttani said.
A Go Fund Me fundraiser has been created and anyone is encouraged to help the family out in their time of need.
