Golf legend Tiger Woods involved in Florida car crash

(JUPITER, Fla.) – Golf legend Tiger Woods has been charged with Driving Under the Influence following a crash in Florida on Friday.

It happened around 2 p.m. in Jupiter and authorities say Woods was speeding when he clipped a trailer that was being pulled by a pickup truck.

Woods' vehicle rolled over and police say he was able to exit the vehicle on his own. Nobody was seriously hurt in the crash.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says Woods showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.  Police believe he was not impaired by alcohol, however, showed signs of impairment by something such as medication.

Woods took a breathalyzer but refused a urine test, police added.

Woods made his professional golf debut in 1996 and is tied for first in PGA Tour wins, ranks second in men’s major championships and also holds numerous golf records.

He pleaded guilty to reckless driving following a suspected DUI crash in the same county in 2017. He was also involved in a serious rollover crash in California in 2021 that has required multiple surgeries.

Woods dates Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., and her daughter is Kai Trump.
