Was headed toward Columbus, Ohio

(GUILFORD, Ind.) – Some residents may have noticed a unique aircraft in the skies over Southeast Indiana on Sunday afternoon.
The Goodyear Blimp is often seen flying over major sporting events across the United States.
Skip Stutz and his family live between Guilford and Yorkville and were surprised to see the famous blimp flying over their home around 2:45 p.m. Sunday.
“That is something you definitely don’t see everyday,” Stutz laughed.
Stutz, who is a retired Dearborn County dispatcher, tracked the blimp on Flightradar 24 and said it appeared to land in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Stutz was unsure of where the blimp was coming from. Another person said it was flying at 66 kts at an altitude of 1,800 feet.
The Goodyear Blimp is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025 and earlier this year the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced plans to fly it over more events and cities.
