Greensburg native honored at South Carolina Silent Witness ceremony

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) – A Decatur County native who was killed is being honored by the State of South Carolina.
44-year-old George Thomas Yorn lived in Greensburg for the majority of his life but had moved to Ridgeway, South Carolina in 2023.
Yorn was stabbed to death during a domestic dispute in December of 2024.
His girlfriend, Tammi Neal, was charged with murder.
Yorn’s loved ones were invited to the Silent Witness ceremony which is an annual event where families honor domestic violence victims.
It was held at the South Carolina Statehouse and Yorn’s name was among those that were read off by the state’s attorney general.
