(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Greensburg Community Schools has announced changes to their leadership structure.
The school has named Greensburg Junior High Principal Matt Clifford and Director of Curriculum Tammy Williams as Assistant Superintendents.
Both Clifford and Williams will support longtime superintendent Tom Hunter.
“The goal is to allow Superintendent Hunter to remain focused on overall district leadership, strategic planning, community engagement, and student success while delegating specialized responsibilities to experienced administrators,” the school board said.
In his new role, Clifford will oversee business and operational functions, including human resources, transportation, food services, compliance, and personnel administration.
Williams will continue her responsibilities in curriculum, instruction, assessment, grant writing, and academic programming.
Hunter began his teaching career in 1981 and has served as Greensburg Superintendent since 1999.
“While no timeline has been established for his retirement, the Board believes it is important to develop leadership capacity within the organization and ensure the district is equipped for the future,” the school board said.
If a superintendent vacancy occurs in the future, the school board emphasized that it will be done in a transparent manner and there will be a comprehensive search and selection process.
