Famous painters have connection to Southeast Indiana
(RICHMOND, Ind.) – History In The 812’s John Pratt recently traveled to the Richmond Art Museum.
He spotlighted the ‘The Hoosier Group’ which was a group on Impressionist painters in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
The group consisted of artists that included T. C. Steele, Richard Gruelle, William Forsyth, J. Ottis Adams, and Otto Stark.
Forsyth had lived in Osgood at one point and John Herron, the founder of the Herron Art Institute, had a connection to Brookville.
