(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Honda gave each student at Greensburg Elementary a special gift on Friday.
Approximately 50 associates participated in the activity to provide each student with a winter coat.
It’s part of Honda’s partnership with Operation Warm, which is a national nonprofit that provides brand new coats and shoes to children in need.
On Friday, more than 900 Greensburg Elementary students were paired with a Honda associate who helped each child shop for their favorite coat.
“We love to give back to the communities we serve and it’s really special to know our company is dedicated to making a difference in the community,” said Honda spokesperson Rachel Sullivan.
Greensburg Elementary Principal Mary Beth Meyer described it as an incredible experience that impacted more than just the students.
“I just can’t get over how kind the Honda associates were to our students, they were very personable, and you could tell they wanted to be part of this,” Meyer said. “The joy that every student had shopping for a coat was amazing to watch.”
Honda has had a partnership with Operation Warm since 2023.
