Indianapolis archbishop to join Oldenburg Sisters for Mass

(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – Indianapolis Archbishop Charles Thompson will preside over Mass in Oldenburg on September 27. 

The archbishop will join the Sisters of St. Francis as part of their 175th anniversary celebration.

The Mass will be open to the public and will take place at 2 p.m. at the Sisters’ Motherhouse Chapel. 

Following the Mass, there will be a time of intermission followed by a concert at 3:30. The concert will feature the vocal choirs of Marian University, Oldenburg Academy, and the Sisters’ Choir. 

“The celebration will continue in the Sisters' dining room with a reception offering light hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity for guests to gather and celebrate along with Sisters,” said communications specialist Melinda Starkey.
