INDOT to host winter jobs hiring event in Aurora

(AURORA, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation will host hiring events for seasonal winter positions on Thursday, September 17. 

The hiring events will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Aurora, Columbus, Bloomington and Falls City. 

The Aurora location is 10955 Marsh Road and registration is not required to attend the event. 

Winter seasonal positions run from November through March at a starting pay of $21 per hour for full-time operations and $25 per hour for snowplow-only/on-call positions. 

Job duties include performing general highway maintenance, snow and ice removal and other duties related to winter operations. 

A valid CDL is required to be considered for a seasonal role. 

Interviews will be conducted on-site the same day, and INDOT team members will be available to answer questions and provide more information about open positions and careers with the agency.
