ISP troopers held enforcement blitz on I-74 on Friday

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Indiana State Police held an enforcement blitz on local interstates on Halloween. 

Troopers patrolled I-74 and I-65 on Friday and issued 72 citations and 99 warnings.  

“Troopers made six criminal arrests, primarily for drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia,” Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said.

They also cited a few drivers for operating while never having received a valid license and driving while suspended.

Increased patrols were part of an ongoing effort to reduce crashes and enhance safety through high-visibility enforcement.
