ISP troopers praised for reducing crime statewide in 2025

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana State Police troopers are being praised for their efforts to reduce crime statewide.
So far in 2025, ISP troopers have seized more than 50 pounds of fentanyl, 64,000 fentanyl pills, 70 pounds of heroin, 195 pounds of cocaine and 272 pounds of methamphetamine.
Troopers say DUI arrests have increased while the number of fatal accidents involving a drunk driver has decreased by 12 percent this year.
The state police have launched Operation Guardian Angel, which has led to 48 arrests of alleged child predators.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun stopped by three different districts to highlight the work of the state police.
Greensburg resident Anthony Scott has served as the Superintendent of the Indiana State Police since January.
