(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A local animal shelter is urging residents to consider pet adoption.
Jennings County Animal Control is currently over capacity and not able to accept any more dogs or cats, in an effort to prevent euthanasia.
“We would like to remind everyone that we are an animal control shelter, and not a humane society to drop unwanted pets for us to rehome for you,” they said.
They said adoption fees cover spaying and neutering, along with microchip, rabies and distemper vaccinations.
The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and you can reach them directly by calling (812) 346-5725.
