Jr. Miss Tree City places top 5 in state pageant

(GREENFIELD, Ind.) – Two Decatur County girls represented their hometown in a big way this weekend.

Earlier this year, Ava Jolee Hackman was named Jr. Miss Tree City and Chase Christianson was named Miss Tree City. 

They both competed in the Indiana Festivals State Pageant in Greenfield on Saturday. 

Hackman placed in the top 5 and brought home the 1st Runner Up award for the State Princess Pageant! 

The event featured two divisions, Queen and Princess, with contestants representing various Indiana festivals competing in stages like interview and festival wear.

Tree City Fall Festival Pageant director Erika Reed said this is the first award the organization has earned at the state level. 

Hackman is a seventh grader at Greensburg Junior High School.
