(VEVAY, Ind.) – People from all across the region have been making a trip to Vevay this week.
Kat Von D has 15,000 black tulips in front of her mansion and the public has been invited to check them out.
“Tulips typically only bloom for about two weeks, I think the best days to come and see the field are April 6-12,” Kat Von D said.
Switzerland County Tourism Executive Director Mark Schutte says thousands of people from about a 2-hour radius have come to town this week.
He added that it has had a positive economic impact as stores and restaurants have been busy as well.
The field has been a destination for photographers and photo shoots over the past week as well.
The field will likely only be in full bloom until Sunday. Visitors are asked to not pick any of the flowers and also to not go close to the house.
