Lawrenceburg announces new Primary School Dean of Students

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Schools has named a new Dean of Students. 

Sarah Wilkinson began her career as a first grade teacher with Middletown City Schools from 2015 to 2023.

“During that time, she created positive classroom environments for diverse learners, delivered differentiated instruction, and collaborated closely with colleagues to analyze student data and improve outcomes,” Lawrenceburg Schools said. 

Wilkinson most recently served as a school counselor at Lakota Schools where she supported students both academically and emotionally. 

“She played an active role in crisis response, behavior planning, and strengthening schoolwide practices,” the school added. 

Sarah graduated from Miami University and has earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Education in Literacy and Language, and a Master of Education in School Leadership. 

She also holds a Five-Year Professional Early Childhood (P–3) license with a reading endorsement and a Five-Year Professional Principal license. 

“We are excited for Mrs. Wilkinson to be joining our team at Lawrenceburg Primary School. We believe she brings a balance of experiences and skills that will complement and support the leadership and staff at LPS, while continuing to put students at the center of all we do.” said Superintendent Karl Galey.
