Lawrenceburg competing for Hallmark Channel Christmas contest

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – When is it too early to start celebrating Christmas?

It’s an age-old debate that we all have our own opinions about. Some start playing holiday music in the Fall, while others are passionate that anything Christmas-themed should wait until after Thanksgiving. 

If you drive through Lawrenceburg this week, it may appear like the City is ready to start the celebration in August. 

There is a Christmas tree and 2 reindeer on display outside of the Civic Park Pavilion. 

That’s because the City is filming a short video to get nominated by the Hallmark Channel. 

The channel is currently accepting nominations for the 25 Merriest Christmas Towns in America. 

Finalists will receive an "Official Hallmark Christmas Town" seal of approval and the wining town will be featured in a future Hallmark movie!
