(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg girl will be setting up her lemonade stand again for a good cause.
9-year-old Johanna Shoemaker is hoping to raise $1,000 that she will donate to the National Children’s Cancer Society.
She came up with this idea all by herself after learning that her grandmother had cancer.
“It must be hard for the parents and the kids [who have cancer] and Jesus and God just told me to do this,” Johanna said.
She has already held two lemonade stands and hopes the third one will help her reach her goal.
Johanna will host the lemonade stand at the Lawrenceburg Civic Park pavilion from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, August 21.
Her lemonade stand will coincide with Lawrenceburg Main Street’s annual Community Yard Sale.
