(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg Police K-9 helped the department arrest a man who allegedly ran away from a crash.
Officers responded to a report of a property damage crash on Tanners Creek Drive on Monday afternoon.
Police say the driver fled the scene and ran toward a field behind Lowe’s. Lawrenceburg Police established a perimeter in an effort to locate the driver.
“The driver attempted to use the marsh conditions and high weeds to conceal his location,” said Lawrenceburg Police Department Assistant Chief Brian Miller.
The K-9 assisted in locating and arresting the suspect who was identified as a 55-year-old man from Dillsboro.
The suspect was transported to a Cincinnati hospital for non-life threatening injuries after the arrest.
