(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Police are warning the public about another phone scam.
Authorities say people are receiving calls that they missed jury duty. The scammer then claims the individual owes $4,000 to $7,000 in fines.
The phone number is fake and so is the scam.
“We are not calling anyone to collect on jury duty fines. Please do not fall for this scam,” the police department said.
