Shattered two records that have stood since 1999

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg runner had a historic night at the Rising Sun Invitational on Thursday.
Sophomore Kaelyn Jones broke two school records that have each stood since 1999.
Jones competed in the 800M Dash and finished with a time of 2:26, which was two seconds faster than the previous record.
She also ran in the 1600M Dash and finished at 5:32, which topped the previous school record by 6 seconds!
Bryan Wagner is a distance coach for the team and says he is incredibly proud of her accomplishments tonight.
“Her work ethic, determination, and drive are next-level. She sets big goals, then goes out and achieves them. An absolute coach’s dream and a joy to work with,” he said.
Jones is also currently ranked 4th in the sectionals for both the 800M and 1600M.
