(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A running team coached by a St. Lawrence Catholic School teacher capped off their first-ever season on Saturday.
Bryan Wagner launched a program called Coach Wagner Running Elite earlier this year where he trains middle school and high school athletes.
Saturday marked the final event in the Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit (SIRC) season, which is a series of six races that support cross country programs at local schools.
They competed in the Bulldog Chase in Batesville where Lawrenceburg student Rylynn Head was the top overall male in the event.
Coach Wagner finished second overall for top male runner.
On the girls side, East Central student and Wager runner Lily Gambrel finished third overall.
“Coleman Hughes and Beckett Wagner and Tegan Burk all had great races and series,” Wagner added.
