(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – Local veterans are being warned about a postcard scam that is arriving in the mail.
The Ripley County Veteran’s Service Office says the 2025 Indiana Veteran Giveback Program is not legitimate.
The postcard claims that veterans and their spouse scan qualify for up to an extra $155 a month.
It also suggests that spouses can qualify for LIFE and veterans can receive dental coverage at no cost, regardless of VA disability rating.
The postcard also urges veterans to call within 5 days “to help us mange our call volume.”
The local Veterans Service Office reiterated this is a scam and this document should be discarded.
