(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Milan man has been arrested for failing to meet the requirements when registering as a sex offender.
The Dearborn County Prosecutors Office alleges 43-year-old Joshua Steelsmith was not always staying at a camper in Milan that he had listed as his address.
“Additionally, as a condition of the Sex Offender Registry, all vehicles and social media accounts used must be disclosed,” the prosecutors office said.
Steelsmith allegedly did not disclose a social media account that he routinely used.
Prosecutors say he also did not disclose a vehicle that he drives for a delivery service.
He was charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender with a Prior Conviction (Level 5 Felony), two counts of Failure to Register (Level 6 Felonies) and a Habitual Offender Sentencing Enhancement.
Charges were filed in the Dearborn Circuit Court and bond hasn’t been set as of now.
