(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A Jennings County man is accused of threatening a driver with a gun.
Police were called to the intersection of State Road 3 and Madison Avenue in North Vernon on Friday afternoon.
A man on a bicycle allegedly threatened a driver who was stopped at a traffic light.
The bicyclist was identified as 64-year-old Mark Huber and he was located by police nearby.
“Officers then made contact with the victim, who reported that Huber approached his vehicle, produced what he believed to be a handgun, and caused him to fear for his safety,” stated the North Vernon Police Department.
Officers say they located a discarded weapon near the scene during the investigation.
Huber was charged with Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of Marijuana.
"The North Vernon Police Department remains committed to responding quickly to threats against the public and ensuring the safety of our community," the department added.
